Archaeologists from the Research Laboratories of Archaeology routinely make presentations to K-12 school groups, typically reaching hundreds of students during each school year. In addition to showing slides and sharing artifacts, they talk with students about “what archaeologists do.” RLA staff also provide technical expertise and materials for instructional use to teachers who are developing lesson plans on archaeology and North Carolina prehistory.
