This project involves the identification, analysis, and reporting of plant remains excavated from St. Catherines Island, Georgia, as part of the long-term research led by the American Museum of Natural History. Current work focuses on the Fallen Tree site. In addition to seed identification, the work focuses on the habitats from which plants were being procured (including potential gardens/fields), seasonal activities, and other research questions pertinent to the goals of the excavations.
